Meeting of project coordinators "Life Of A Digi"

On 21-23 November 2018 the Erasmus + project coordinators meeting took place at the Catholic High School in Chojnice.
​
This was a preparatory visit before the commencement of project work. Representatives from the partner countries made the necessary arrangements for the implementation of the project in 2018-2020 and participated in the ICT training.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the following countries:
​
1. Poland (Roman Catholic Secondary School named after Romuald Traugutt) - Rafal Maliszewski, Magdalena Grala, Karolina Żmich, Eugenia Majewska
2. Romania - (Colegiul National Gheorghe Lazar Sibiu) Raluca Filip, Anuta Steliana Marginean, Cornelia Stela Negrea
3. Spain (SEC - Atlantico S.L.) Gonzalo Garcia, Juan J. Ortega, Katharine Murphy
4. Portugal (Agrupamento de Escolas de Casquilhos) Cristina Ramalho, Maria Leonor Inacio, Silvia Michado
5. Croatia (XI. Gimnazija) Jelka Dolic, Matija Basic, Mirjana Franic
All the participants of the meeting presented the specifics of the work of the schools they represent and outlined their profile. They also discussed previous experience in implementing European projects.
Rafał Maliszewski Phd as the main coordinator presented a detailed plan of project activities which were then discussed and approved by the other partners.

Arrangements:

a detailed plan of project activities for 2018-2020 was discussed

tasks have been assigned in accordance with the entry in the project application

the main tool for project results dissemination and communication between project participants will be the Twinspace platform. For this purpose, the project coordinator (Poland) has appointed Turkey as the project administrator of the above platform. Teachers responsible for the project work on a national basis will register students on the TwinSpace and will monitor the communication between students from different countries. In addition, WhatsApp application was indicated as a tool for instant communication between teachers involved in the project. A group for coordinators was also established on the Facebook social network. A group of teachers from Croatia will create and run the project website. In addition, each partner is obliged to post information about current project activities in a specially created tab on the school website.

the dates of the two nearest foreign trips for the students (Romania - 18-22 February 2019 and Portugal 20-24 May 2019) and the form of their implementation were set.

the first stage of project work was discussed in details between November 2018 and February 2019 as well as the type of intellectual work that young people involved in the project should prepare.

the students will prepare a selfpresentation in the form of a film containing information about their country, region and school which will constitute the intellectual work product presented in Romania;

the students will prepare a logo design;

the students will present information on the ICT tools used during preparing their input and present them in Romanian as one of the elements used in the next stage to create a virtual book;

the students will search for information, make selections and analyze available ICT tools useful in creating presentations;

The above arrangements will be monitored and discussed during subsequent project meetings. All the partners agreed on the possibility of modifying particular points of the project plan in order to make the work more productive and obtain better results of intellectual work.
All teachers in Chojnice took part in the "Teacher Training for Modern Education" training, which included issues such as:
• digital identification
• web 2.0 - the most popular applications used in education
• flipped learning ICT
• mindmapping - theory and operation of the Text2Mindmap program
• Kahoot - How to create your own quizzes.
• Quizlet - Creating learning sets and creating classes and folders for students
• LearningApps

The above ICT tools were discussed from the theoretical side, workshop activities were conducted, as well as their practical use was shown, e.g. during teachers’ field trip to GdaÅ„sk.
